DERMAPLANE

A dermaplane is the deepest form of exfoliation which helps remove dead skin as well as defuzzing. (Helps with product penetration)

Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars or other skin imperfections by revealing newer, undamaged skin.

MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive epidermal resurfacing procedure used to treat uneven skin tone/texture, photoaging, striae, melasma, and scars, including acne scars.

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation using a diamond tip exfoliator to exfoliate the surface of the skin while having a vacuum that takes in all the dead skin at the same time.  (Helps with product penetration, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles)

This causes the skin to repair itself and stimulate the production of new cells. It also helps to boost collagen, a protein that helps smooth the skin.

FACIAL PRETREATMENT

Discontinue the use of topical Retin-A, Retinol,

Accutane, etc. at least one week prior to the service. Any oral acne medication should be ceased 3 months prior to service.

Inform the esthetician if you are taking any medication prescribed by a physician, dermatologist or applying anything to your face.

Do not have any aggressive peels, microdermabrasion's or laser within a week of this service.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Active infection of any type of herpes simplex virus, cold sores or fever blisters
• Open wounds, excessively sensitive skin or inflammatory
• Autoimmune disease
• Sunburn
• Recent use of topical agents such as glycolic acid,alphahydroxy acids, and any Retin-A.
• Recent chemical peels
• Vascular lesions
• Oral blood thinner medications
• Pregnancy (Talk to your DR first)
• Use of accutane within the last year
• Use of depilatories; electrolysis or waxing of the treated area in the past 7 days
• Use of topical steroids up to 3 days prior to treatment
